What to Expect
Empathy and Inclusive Collaboration features program highlights that provide you with essential learning experiences. These highlights offer industry-relevant experiences through a community of interactions. They are designed to help you succeed both academically and professionally while building a network of support.
This course contains four modules, and each module contains smaller units. These will help you better understand the sources of identity and the relationship between identity and culture. Topics include how bias occurs, how to identify it, and how the connection between identity and culture contributes to bias formation. The course also covers empathic and active listening, cultural safety, and fostering an inclusive mindset.
Throughout the course, you will find a variety of interactive elements. These include knowledge checks to help deepen your understanding of the content. Engaging with these activities reinforces new learning. It also complements the knowledge you bring to this area of study. You will also learn through readings, case studies, and videos.

Assessment
You must achieve a ranking of Competent on the assessment to pass the course. You may attempt the assessment two times before additional support is necessary. If you require further attempts, please contact your Course Instructor or Student Experience Specialist.
